It’s not here

SW 39th St, Renton, WA, US
Thanks everyone I happen to be close to this one.

Horseshoe Lake Rd, Deer Park, WA, US
I have been looking daily to see if anything published near me...today was the day!!! I checked the clock...will I be late to work? Maybe...shall I risk it?? Yup!!! So off I go!! It was a quick grab..thank you!!

Horseshoe Lake Rd, Deer Park, WA, US
This Ape came to the Horseshoe Lake area to kayak. Then he stopped here for miles of trails to explore! Bring your Discover Pass if you intend to “ Horse” around the lake or the trails! To find the Ape you need to examine the second image and look under the sign. Good luck!

SW 39th St, Renton, WA, US
Another ape out for a hike, this time on the Springbrook Trail. He saw walkers, and a bike rider on an incumbent bike went whizzing by and scared him. He took cover in a four-trunk tree just barely off the trail, building side.

181st Ave SE, Renton, WA, US
This ape decided he wanted to hike a bit around Cedar Mountain. Loved the trails, but came back to the trailhead and was really pooped. Sat down for a bit to rest. Check out the bench.

Five Mile Dr, West End, Tacoma, WA, US
Took my time getting here, even took a wrong turn and had drive the whole 5-mile drive to return to the correct turn-off. There was a family nearby but oblivious of my searching. Thanks for the Ape Coin.

Five Mile Dr, West End, Tacoma, WA, US
You will find this ape on Owen beach just north of the main parking lot. Follow in the their foot steps to get away from the crowd and enjoy a cooler side of the beach. If you find a stump you may just find a few long steps to someones heart that will lead you to the apes finding spot. If you have to step over a large number of logs you have gone to far.
Note the park opens 30mins before sunrise and closes 30mins after sunset and plan to work with traffic.

Blind Bay Rd, Eastsound, WA, US location_on N 48 34.385, W 122 57.660
APE saw this cool place on Shaw Island and wanted to hang out for a little bit. Got to talk to the person running the library and museum and they know about Geocaching and gave me permission to let the APE hang around here until someone can come and get him.

SE Salmon St, Mt. Tabor, Portland, OR, US
Got it! This will be our first Going Ape event.

Tokul Rd SE, Snoqualmie, WA, US
Missed it by minutes, but had a good chat about GC stories, the upcoming APE event, and our GC obsession!

Tokul Rd SE, Snoqualmie, WA, US
Shilly69 made the find as 2 other cachers showed up. We had a nice talk with them now on to Wenatchee.

NF-8303, Cougar, WA, US
This Ape wanted to see one of it's cousins so it headed out to the Ape Cave to see if it could find one of them to hang out with. it got stuck though - look at the base of the pole holding the sign in the picture that is opposite of the road

SE Salmon St, Mt. Tabor, Portland, OR, US
This Ape tag made a trip to visit the extinct volcano in Mt. Tabor Park. It's hidden in a fake rock (yours to keep) in a group of three large chunks of lava (see the picture for a spoiler). Find the tag and enjoy taking a walk around the park.

Tokul Rd SE, Snoqualmie, WA, US
There is no light in the tunnel, do not search there. You're looking for a stake.. but not that one.. the other one. (esaeler nottub eht hsup)

Iron Horse Trail, Snoqualmie Pass, WA, US
Oh little ape, you're too early for your event! Come caching with me for a bit instead.

Iron Horse Trail, Snoqualmie Pass, WA, US
*The Tag
You can take your chances and see if you are the first one to the event, and perhaps this tag will still be available. Or you can head up to the Ape Event a few weeks early and see what the place looks like without hundreds of geocachers.
The tag is secured with clear gorilla tape to the bottom of the seat furthest from the parking lot on the picnic table closest to the permanent bathroom structure in the middle of the parking lot.

Burnett-Fairfax Hwy, Carbonado, WA, US
My partner found an Ape yesterday in Elbe, so today was my turn. A bit of a drive, but the ape was patiently waiting when we arrived!

Burnett-Fairfax Hwy, Carbonado, WA, US
Scardy Ape is afraid to be in the forest mostly because of forest fires. Because he leaps from tree to tree he can see the forest thru the trees. Of course Scardy Ape also helps Smokey the Bear locate smoke and fires. Then sometimes he is just plain scared and hides behind Smokey. "Remember--"Only You can Prevent Wildfires".

WA-504, Toutle, WA, US
Took a chance that it would still be here and drove down from Issaquah. Now I can sleep easy til the ape event :)

Cleator Rd, Bellingham, WA, US
Rainy day and ruff road but I got it!!

Heise Rd S, Elma, WA, US
I found this Sunday morning and have been working since. can you make the font any smaller?

WA-7, Elbe, WA, US
Saw this two hours after it was posted. I was surprised and very happy to see it still available.

Cleator Rd, Bellingham, WA, US
This ape heard that Larrabee State Park had beautiful views with rocks and trails to explore, so he took advantage of a beautiful day and went exploring! He rested at this terrific lunch spot - Cyrus Gates Overlook - and took in the views.
You'll find him tethered under the sign - feel free to bring a tool to release him, or simply slide him free!
You must have a Discover Pass for your vehicle to park in this area, as well as in this park.

WA-504, Toutle, WA, US
This Ape had been hiking all day - 10.6 miles to be exact and was very tired and needed to rest, in it's sleepy state the Ape thought that the sign said Hammocks ahead and pulled in to find one to sleep in. what he really found was Hummocks - which are part of Mt. Saint Helens that moved down off of the mountain the day she blew. but the ape was tired so it is napping under the sign in the picture

WA-7, Elbe, WA, US
This ape was headed up the West side of Mt. Rainier but decided to stop and take a train the rest of the way. Little does it know that this train is not going all that far. But it may end up in a museum like the train it is resting on.
You are looking for spot behind a vertical bolt on the back of the structure.

WA-224, West Richland, WA, US
Was at work catching up on Facebook when i seen it posted. Ran out and grabbed this.

WA-224, West Richland, WA, US
I gave the area a pretty good search at 8:30am, but found no sign of him.

WA-224, West Richland, WA, US
This is found; taking it off the map.

Doc's Dr, Gig Harbor, WA, US
I love this little park and it’s fantastic view! Grabbed the ape and took a little rest to enjoy the view.

NF-83, Cougar, WA, US
This Ape went looking for the Ape Canyon to hang out and have a hiking party but took a wrong turn and ended up in the Lava Canyon. After it went down and looked at the amazing waterfall it found a place to tuck in and hide on the way back up from those muggles that were headed down the trail. look behind the sign - you will need a NorthWest Forest Pass or National Park Pass if you want to spend some time here - but this can be found in under 2 minutes from the parking lot.

WA-224, West Richland, WA, US
The Ape was floating down the Yakima River on his floaty and stopped at this park in West Richland, WA. He took a look at this sign to try to get his bearings and realized where the sign showed "You are here" was not actually where he was. So, he looked on the other side of the sign and left something.

Doc's Dr, Gig Harbor, WA, US
Narrows Park in Gig Harbor is a really pleasant place to explore at low tide and always offers a spectacular view of the Narrows Bridge. Sometimes, Mt. Rainier is visible too. If you hike north of the bridge make sure you know when the tide will turn!
The seated GPS has found the tag!

Chapel Dr, Leavenworth, WA, US
Did the tag go missing or has it already been snagged? Bummer! Not a very safe place for the little guy. Perhaps he really did go 'floating'...

Esquimalt Rd, Victoria, BC, CA
Found this yesterday! Sorry for the delay in posting a "Claimed it" Woo hoo! Off to the Ape Event next month :-)

Hayward Rd, Ellensburg, WA, US
CryptoCacher and I raced out to try to spot this Ape this morning. We arrived on site at 8:19 am and had the tag in hand shortly thereafter. Thanks for the morning adventure!

Richmond, BC, CA
On my way to work when this popped up. Never thought I would have a chance to get one 😎😎

46th Ave E, Tacoma, WA, US
Nice find this am only 20 minute drive from house.

46th Ave E, Tacoma, WA, US
A tag in Orange Gate Park. Is just a short walk and cords can be jumpy. Should not matter to much as you are in "OrangeGate" park.
If you need a clue its in the description.

Richmond, BC, CA
The APES have learned to enjoy a good 1st class seat on the plane to travel to various Geocaching events. Like the APE mega! Although this airport isn’t the closest to the event, Vancouver is a very popular place to land.
APEs also like to sit in this park watching planes take off...can you spot this one?

Hayward Rd, Ellensburg, WA, US
Up in the wind farm area of Eastern Washington. I thought the Field and Stream Club seemed to ba an oxymoron with the dry grass and big windmills in the background. This is a gravel/dirt road so be aware if it has been raining. There are some great views from up here.
Hint: Base of corner fence post under a rock.

S 324th St, Federal Way, WA, US
Made this find after waiting out a muggle.. Wasnt sure what it was but it peaked my intrest so im excited to have found it.

Dogwood Dr, Ladysmith, BC, CA
Found this one in Ladysmith on the way up to Nanaimo.

Heise Rd S, Elma, WA, US
Stopped by with Sproutter. Found the yellow cito item but not the tag. At least they could have picked up the cito item too.

Chapel Dr, Leavenworth, WA, US
So hot out and the river looked so cool and inviting, why not go for a float.

Esquimalt Rd, Victoria, BC, CA
This tag is hiding just outside a famous Sharkz store. Look behind the box.

Heise Rd S, Elma, WA, US
Elma's APE is confused. He's in a rest area and can't decide if he's hiding under a rhododendron or under its pinecone. (Wait! Do rhododendrons have pinecones?) Please, somebody rescue this poor guy and set him straight!

Found it but couldn't log until now, sorry!!

ID-57, Priest River, ID, US
I checked my email this morning and saw this tag had been placed in my backyard, so I rushed out to claim it!

ID-57, Priest River, ID, US
This Ape was hungry for a huckleberry milkshake! After he stopped here to check out this sign and the informational signs nearby, he picked huckleberries!
Hint: On backside of sign by the black bear carving there is a metal plate. The Ape is hiding behind the plate on the right side.
